Enjoy the rich flavours of RED Recipes – Crusted Lamb with Australian Bush Spices. This delicious lamb recipe features a perfectly seasoned crust with aromatic native spices, creating a tender and flavour-packed dish ideal for family dinners or entertaining guests.

Ingredients

  • Serves 4
  • 500g lamb backstrap
  • 2 tablespoons RED Australian Bush Spice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 Turkish pide bread, cut into 4 pieces
  • 100g salad leaves
  • 2 ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • 200g hummus
  • 2 tablespoons mint

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from the lamb and roll in RED spice.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, and cook the lamb over medium heat until done to your liking.
  3. Toast Turkish bread until golden. Divide salad leaves over bread and top with sliced tomatoes.
  4. Slice the lamb and serve it with minted hummus. Top with the remaining toasted bread pieces.
